The threats to the flock in Ezekiel 34.

There are three threats to God's flock as listed by Ezekiel.

1, The Bad Shepherd,
2, The Bully Sheep, and
3, The Savage Beast.

The flock will be concerned about the Savage Beast and whinge about the other two.
If the Bully Sheep and the Bad Shepherd conspire you will see the beginnings of a cult.

Of the three,God is most concerned about the Bad Shepherd. A Good Shepherd will correct the Bully Sheep and destroy, drive off or tame (convert) the Savage Beast ( Sheepdogs ?).

Where are we in all of this?

Are we called to Conversion?
Are we called to Correction - and obedience?
Are we called to Compassion and being a good shepherd serving the Good Shepherd?

I was called to being a good shepherd, but I found the church to be full of Bad Shepherds, Bully Sheep and Savage Beasts - with some notable exceptions.

It is also very difficult to be an average shepherd, let alone a good one.

God is predominantly interested in the Good Shepherd.
