The girl in blue. A story of two little girls and the Devil's work

This post comes with a warning. The content is distressing and, although the visuals are upsetting, it is the stories which are heart-breaking.

If you have a legitimate celebration today, read this tomorrow.
The first little girl is Jewish. Her name is Hadas Fogel.

The inset is Hadas Fogel before she was murdered. The rest of the image is her tiny coffin. A little girl in blue.
Her family was murdered by Islamist terrorists (from Arab Palestine). They were walking away from the slaughter when they heard the baby crying...
This took place in 2011.
http://www.collive.com/pics//nf_1841_181057.jpg
What follows is more recent.

This little girl's parents were Syrian Christians, and like them, she became a martyr to her faith.  A martyr to her parents' faith, I suppose I should say in view of her tender years.  A martyr at the very hands of the cruel and ruthless Islamists and Jihadists who wish to wipe Israel ahttps://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Emmaus-Group/157999294338029nd Jews and Christians and Christianity from the face of the Middle East.
The Facebook page of the Emmaus Group explains:
Child “crucified” in Syria.

The image ... shows a very young girl tied to railings in a crucifixion style position and left until dead. The image was sent to us via facebook from a contact in Syria. The girl’s crime, as if there could be one? Her parents were Christians. She was tied up and made to watch her parents being killed then left. This evil act was perpetrated by Syrian rebels. The same rebels the West continues to support financially, with training and technology and supposedly, “non lethal hardware.”\

Sadly this practice is not new. Christian children have been crucified in Iraq in an attempt to terrify their parents and the Christian population in general. See link
My sources are Daphne Anson and the http://www.emmaus-group.org/

Sometimes, evil is so utterly appalling that terms like 'The Enemy', 'the Devil' and 'Satan' are all that are left to describe who has done this thing.

The Church of England is expunging all mention of the Devil from its new service book.

Update: It would seem that at least one other source attributes the picture somewhat differently.

"chained up for being Shia Muslim"

http://beforeitsnews.com/middle-east/2013/06/horrifying-picture-child-chained-up-forced-to-watch-parents-executed-by-obama-backed-syrian-rebels-2452386.html

In either case, the act is attributed to Syrian rebels and is horrendous. However, the link above has credibility issues, see the following quote - the brackets and highlighting are my insertions.

The Syrian civil war is an ongoing armed conflict in Syria between forces loyal to the Syrian [?] and outside foreigners paid by zionist intellegence [sic], a system build to weaker the arab army, esspecialy [sic] those who are a threat to the pro-american diplomacy, in other words ”those who do not bow down to them”.2013

 I am seeking further clarification.

Letters to St. James - Piccadilly

The CofE certainly picked a dilly when the rector of St. James Piccadilly was appointed in the 1980s with carte blanche to keep it open. Subsequent appointments have continued to career down the broad way on to which he led the church.

The current incumbents have provoked open letters and articles across the blogosphere.

I start with two of my favourite Jewish commentators.

Melanie Phillips has penned an open letter to the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. She calls it a church of hate. Melanie Phillips is not an anti-Christan Jew. She understands very well that the decline of healthy Christianity has had a deleterious effect on freedom in general and religious freedom in particular. Do read her article and follow the links.

Daphne Anson has also blogged on St. James, Piccadilly here and here . If anything, she can be more robust than Melanie Phillips.

From within the Christian community, comes Dr. Denis MacEoin's letter to St James. It is exemplary in its Christian attitude. It gives his reasons for supporting Israel and details the homicidal culture that Israel is facing.

I quote:

Let me illustrate the importance of the fence with a single example. In 2005, a young Palestinian woman called Wafa al-Biss was badly burned in a domestic fire, taken to Israel’s SorokaHospital, and treated there for months. When discharged, she was given a permit to return as an out-patient. Some time later she headed for the hospital wearing a suicide belt with the aim of exploding  it among the doctors and nurses who had treated her, as well as however many children she could find. She was caught at a checkpoint and imprisoned. Earlier this year she was released as part of a prisoner release agreement. Within hours she was speaking to Palestinian children, urging them to put on suicide vests and kill as many Jews as possible. And some people wonder why the Israelis need a security barrier.

It is simply wrong, I believe and, I am sure, all Christians believe to flaunt one people’s suffering as righteous while condemning another people for simply seeking to secure themselves and their children from vicious attack. Wafa al-Biss was not a mentally disturbed lone killer manquée, but someone who had every reason to be grateful to the men and women who had saved her life. She was part of a killing system, a system that has taken the lives of thousands of Israel down the years.

Read the whole letter. I would love to see what sort of reply he gets. I looked on the ABC's website for any response to Melanie Phillips, so far, nothing.

However, the putative reincarnation/voice from beyond of a former ABC, to wit Cranmer, has penned a missive on the subject here. I should warn my readers that it is heavily ironic, which some of his own regulars seem to have missed. It took me a little while to realise just how sarcastic he was being.

Another open letter from a victim of Terror and a friend of a murdered victim.

Please write on your wall, under the cross, now obscured by the crescent…. “R.I.P Kristine Luken.”
Sincerely,
Kay Wilson – (a British-born Israeli)

The Blog  'Anne's Opinions' carries this:

Sharon and Lesley again at the St James market place today armed with our bag of acrylic paint and wall brush.

With no support from anybody the sense was one of antagonism, being watched as we were by the wardens present it seemed, in case we dared to write on the wall. Seeing our paint Tom, a St James warden approached us to say we could only use their now worn out felt pens. Explaining the uselessness of those pens and the fact that others had used spray paint Debbie, another warden said she’d get us some of theirs. Returning a while later she produced grey – the shade they use to obliterate posts they don’t approve of. In the end Tom told me I could paint one message on a designated spot, provided I was professional and refrained from being abusive. Odd that seeing that others could write what and where they wanted as many times as they wanted!

So I painted This Wall Saves Lives, started to write that 1340 Israeli citizens have died as a result of terrorist attacks since 2000, but Tom’s space and location didn’t permit!

I think this has been through a couple of blogs so I do not know who Sharon and Lesley are, but may the LORD bless them.

Where your charity money goes... you won't like it!

While Christians are massacred in Baghdad and are being driven out of the Middle East, others who call themselves Christian see fit to demonize Israel and fund terrorism. They do this with your money. Find out the charities to avoid

I make no apologies for all the links. This is part of my contribution towards raising awareness of what is really happening.

The massacre in Baghdad as reported by the BBC here and Google for more information.

The excellent Danny Ayalon on the decline of Christians in 'Palestine' and a potted history of the name of Palestine, see below.

Blogger Edgar Davidson has a jaw-dropping report on the Charity 'War on Want', see here . Read it all, especially if you are British.

Robin Shepherd of 'thecommentator' has an article in his online journal about the same subject. He names a range of charities and their funding sources. Perhaps non-European readers should look at their charities more closely.

There is also an excellent article by Steve Apfel on 'Borrowing Jesus' - like this: -

Jesus_as_palestinian

It makes an interesting contrast to what Danny Ayalon has to say. I know whom I believe.

According to Daphne Anson, this temporary wall in London cost several thousand pounds.

St_james's_church_barrier

You can read more about this expensive obscenity in another excellent piece by Robin Shepherd. He gives links to a video publicising the stunt and to a letter protesting it.

I wonder how much good could have been achieved if the money spent on this stunt had gone elsewhere?
Hadas Fogel, three months old, was killed by terrorists on March 11, 2011. Th e terrorists confessed that they left the Fogel home after murdering Hadas’ parents and two sleeping brothers but returned to murder Hadas when they heard her start crying.

I finish with a quote from Robin Shepherd.

To abuse that most admirable of Christian traditions, and turn Christmas into a message of hate, is not just anti-Semitic; it is the grossest of insults to Christians as well.

Christmas and Anti-Semitism. Some people never let up!

Daphne's latest post on her blog, here, makes the following comments:

In old Europe, Easter was the traditional time for assault on the Jews: as is well-known, many a pogrom took place around that time, stoked by the canard that Jews killed Jesus.
These days, it seems to be Christmas that's the traditional time for an all-out assault upon the Jews, in the form of the Jewish State.  As I remarked here, Yuletide sees an intensification of that Open Season on Israel that takes place throughout the year.

I was intrigued. I could understand Easter being an occasion for anti-semitism, although it is fueled by ignorance as well as by hatred. But Christmas? OK, so the usual suspects are still playing games with Christmas Carols, but hatred for the Jews? This is a birth in Judea. It says so in the Bible. We read these texts every year.

Well, my own blog has given me evidence of a spike in interest, about who killed Jesus, just before Christmas. This post, "Who killed Jesus...?" which is the most viewed post since I started blogging, is viewed almost every day, but, according to my stats, they recorded more views than usual for this post during the past week.

After 2000 years, we still need to know how to apportion blame for the death of Jesus. No other death in custody gets that level of attention. It shows how important a Person this Jesus is.

So to all my readers, Jew and Christian, have a blessed time while we Christians celebrate the Messiah/Christ and may the God of Israel grant us all peace in the coming year, be it the peace of heart, mind and spirit that we may well need in these difficult times.

Luke 2:8 - 21
And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.

And at the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

It's time the truth was told.

I don't have that many viewers and fewer regulars, but I do have some and I appreciate all of you. Now I want to ask you all to do your very best to publicise what follows for the sake of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

http://archbishop-cranmer.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/syrias-al-qaeda-freedom-fighters-invade.html

Over at Cranmer is the linked article. The following quote:

It has been tweeted out, but is grossly under-reported. As Presidents Obama and Hollande prepare to bomb the evil President Assad to kingdom come, those righteous Al-Qaeda freedom fighters have slaughtered a garrison of the regime's soldiers and were then somehow forced to invade the predominantly Christian village of Maloula. The report is patchy, but German intelligence doesn't seem to be able to intercept nuns' telephone conversations.

Courtesy of  our friend Daphne Anson is the following link: http://frontpagemag.com/2013/raymond-ibrahim/al-qaeda-vows-to-slaughter-christians-after-u-s-liberates-syria/

The link pretty much says it all. Except that it seems not everyone is asleep.

sy_2157428bIt seems that a lot of the US military aren't too keen on fighting for Al-Qaida. See this article at WND.

And this isn't the only one.

Why does the Mainstream Media promote the enemies of the West? Why does Obama support the Muslim Brotherhood/Al-Qaida?

Why are we being dragged into a war that no-one wants to fight?

Yet again Goodson's Law provides an unpalatable answer . It's time that the USA took internal action to solve its problems.

An update from Barnabas Fund:

Barnabas has provided aid to around 10% of Syria’s Christian community

And finally,

Israel is still the only Middle Eastern country where Christians are safe.

Jews, Israel, Zionism...Cause or Cure?

Daphne Anson has posted here about a terrible article available here. Said article accuses the Jews of gassing the Syrians to provoke war. Daphne recalls what happened when the Black Death ravaged Europe.

Her linked article on the Black Death suggests that Jews were singled out because they were not suffering to the same extent. The reason being the benign effect of the Levitical hygiene laws. According to the book 'None of these Diseases' by S.I. McMillen M.D. (and since updated), it was the application of the Levitical principle of quarantine that brought the disease under control. The mob blamed the Jews, but there were cooler heads in the Church (only they had the power and the knowledge) who reasoned it out and enforced the Levitical rules. Grimly ironic that the Jews were blamed for being the cause when, in fact, they had the cure.

It behooves Christians to remember what St. Paul had to say about the Jews.

Romans 9:
1I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit— 2that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers,a my kinsmen according to the flesh. 4They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. 5To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

For Christ read Anointed or Messiah. It all means the same.

In other words, Paul is saying that without the Jews we Gentile Christians would have nothing.

Whenever rogue clerics and others tell us that Israel, the Jews or Zionism is the cause of all evils, we need to remember the Word of God, which we would not have were it not for the Jews.

Paul again: http://biblehub.com/1_timothy/6-10.htm
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

The Jews are no more or less responsible for the evils of this sinful world than anyone else. They are not the Cause...

But they still have the Cure .

Some more truth-telling about Israel.

Zombie Anti-Zionism and more about Greenbelt.

In the USA, one Alf Cengia, writing for the Omega letter, characterises the mindset of Israel's opponents as Zombie-like. You can read it here.

In Australia, Daphne Anson has dug deeper into Greenbelt and Kairos Britain.

No prizes for guessing the one name that crops up in both articles. You can read his thinking here. Apparently, Christian Zionism is a heresy. That's very strong language. It means that we are not Christians, we are false teachers and, unless we repent, we're doomed.

He completely misrepresents/misunderstands the theology that underlies Christian Zionism. I have begun to address this in previous posts here and follow the links at the bottom of the post. I will address the issues in future posts on understanding prophecy.

Much, much more to come.

Lots of lies in the Middle East

But there are some people who are telling the truth and asking the right questions.

Our good friend of this blog, Daphne Anson has this recent post: A former muslim on intolerance of Israel It includes a video.

There are two excellent articles over at Cranmer. The one is asking the right questions about Assad's alleged gassing of a suburb of Damascus. William Hague believes it was Assad, but if you read the article linked to carefully he has no real evidence. The Telegraph also links to an article about Syrian refugees but does not distinguish who these refugees might be except to mention the Kurds. What about the Assyrian Orthodox Christians who are not part of the rebel movement so beloved of Obama and Hague? They are refugees from their own country.

We might also consider previous experience in Egypt. At Israel Today there is an open letter from Dr Ashraf Rameleh, director of Voice of the Copts. He states that Obama is, effectively, supporting the Muslim Brotherhood.

WND has a possible explanation for Obama's apparent support of terrorism. His half-brother is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood!  Read it here and judge for yourself.

abongo-barack-obama

There is another excellent article in Cranmer about Anti-Israel propaganda at what used to be the evangelical flagship festival, Greenbelt. Cranmer's post includes a superb summary of the history and legitimacy of Israel which is well worth studying. It is by Fran Waddams of Anglican Friends of Israel.

It includes this telling picture.

In the interests of fairness and balance this is the official Greenbelt position on the debate here

Buried in the comments on the second Cranmer article is this analysis by one Carl Jacobs

The actual logic in play is this:

1. The root of the problem is oppression caused by Israeli power.

2. To achieve peace the Israelis must make themselves vulnerable.

3. Eventually the Arabs will stop feeling threatened and everyone will live in peace and harmony.

4. The Israelis as the stronger power (and unstated) because their oppressive behavior is the proximate cause of the problem, should endure the residual death inflicted upon them until the Palestinians come around.

The Middle East conflict is a lab experiment for Left wing non-violent conflict resolution. Their world view is tied into the success of their efforts. They want it to succeed because their world view tells them it must succeed. That's why they would be shocked at the slaughter attendant to Arab victory. Their world view won't allow them to predict it.

carl

23 August 2013 13:14

I think he's right about the general mass of Left-wing/Liberal opinion. I'm not so sure about some of the leaders.

We need to ask some simple questions.

1. Who is killing Christians and other dissidents from Islamism?
2. Who is protecting Christians and other dissidents from Islamism?
3. Who has a history of faking massacres for Western consumption? See here or search for 'Pallywood'.
4. What happened after our other efforts to liberate Islamic countries?

Then there is Goodson's Law.

And finally, the acid test as proposed by the Lord Jesus, 'By their fruits...

It isn't really that difficult to work out who the liars are.

Smoke and mirrors

One of the tricks of the magician is distraction. Whilst you are looking one way, he is doing something else. The effect is magical, but the whole thing is deception.  All forms of magic are deception of one sort or another. It's just that the entertainers admit it and challenge us to spot the trick. Politicians can also be  adepts at distraction.

Daphne Anson recently posted a video with an imam vowing all sorts of punishment on America, France, Rome and Britain. He does this from the Temple Mount. He probably views Rome as the centre of Christianity. The man is deluded for all sorts of reasons but perhaps not totally crazy. He warns Obama that the Caliphate will return, as if Obama is some sort of Western oppressor. But is it smoke and mirrors?

Today WND posted another, very different pronouncement, not on the Temple Mount but concerning the Temple Mount. The source is a PA negotiator, so we have to treat it with great care. See here.

The Obama administration has quietly presented a plan in which the Palestinian Authority and Jordan will receive sovereignty over the Temple Mount while Israel will retain the land below the Western Wall, according to a senior PA negotiator speaking to WND.
The Temple Mount is the holiest site in Judaism. (WND)

It appears that Israel has not agreed to the Obama/Kerry plan.

The PA negotiator further said Israel rejected a Palestinian request that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agree not to place the final peace plan up for referendum in the Knesset.
Indeed, Netanyahu announced today any plan must receive final approval in a national poll.
“I am committed to two objectives that must guide the result … if there will be a result. And if there will be a result, it will be put to a national referendum,” he said at the start of the cabinet meeting.
“Negotiations with the Palestinians will not be easy, but we are entering them with integrity, honesty and hope,” Netanyahu added. (WND)

Are the Arabs trying to stir things up as a negotiating tactic? Does Obama really hold the Temple Mount and the aspirations of Israel in such low regard? Is he trying to inflame the situation?

As far as the machinations of Israel's enemies, and so called friends, are concerned there are two things worth remembering:

When the consequences of incompetence become indistinguishable from the consequences of malice, it is wiser and safer to assume malice.

And, more importantly, Psalm 2. God's plans for the Temple will be fulfilled. Sorry, Mr. President.

The Big Lie, madness and the famous Eccles.

Over at Daphne Anson's Blog is a piece on a lady who used to be my MP. She's a very likeable person, as far as I could tell from the few times I've met her. However, in my opinion, like a great many socialists, but not all, she's a sucker for a sob story. Enough of Clare Short, it was something else that is so mad you've got to laugh, if only sardonically.

After reading Daphne's piece, I got curious and looked up 'ElectronicIntifada'. It's on an illustration with the post with a quote from Steven Sizer. EI seem to believe that the BBC is now ruled by a cabal of hardline Zionists. If that is true, it's a revolution. Will we now see the Balen report? Somehow I doubt it.

As I looked through the Google links on EI, I found this at Uprooted Palestinian . It appears that this  believes that George Soros funds EI, which may or may not be true and, get this, that George Soros is part of the Zionist conspiracy. Yes, he states that EI are Israel's spokesman.
"The truth is that these Electronic people are Israel’s spokesmen."

We can judge the quality of his reportage from another, more recent post, on the Syrian genocide.

The piece is headed by a picture which has nothing to do with Syria but is of Mohammed al Durrah (Dura).
My link goes to an exhaustive Wikipedia piece which leaves the matter unresolved, wisely from their point of view, because it has been demonstrated that, if the boy died, he was never killed by Israeli bullets.

What matters is not the truth but the tug on the heart.

Behind both these websites is the allegation that a Zionist Cabal is at work. Now back to Stephen Sizer . His quote is a criticism of CUFI and includes a picture with the link 'Banging the Drums of War'.

The article he is linking to, by one Emily Warda (and also here ) contains some valid criticism of what is really US American culture and not Zionism, followed by assorted distortions, unsupported assertions about Christian Zionism, an exaggeration of CUFI's influence and finishing with the (unsupported) assertion that they are banging the drums of war. CUFI has some 1.3 million members but that is out of a population of nearly 316 million. That's 0.4% of the population. OK, let's make some allowances for age and call it nearly 1%. According to the leftist Salon.com the muslim population could range from less that 1 million to up to 10 million. This is typical of attempts to quantify Islam. Generally, most come out at 2 - 3 million. Allowing for age, it's about even. I doubt that all the CUFI supporters are rich, white and powerful.

Which brings me back to the madness. If Zionism, in all its forms, is so powerful why am I not the Archbishop of Canterbury; why is Stephen Sizer still a vicar; why did the Holocaust happen; why is Israel so small; why does Israel surrender land for peace...etc. etc.?

Ah, yes. That singularly unsuccessful Zionist plot to rule the world which is simultaneously rich, powerful, secret, diabolical... yawn. Where does this strange idea come from? Its a Big Lie. Goebbels practiced it. Paul predicted it http://bible.cc/2_thessalonians/2-11.htm .

Actually, the lie is a distortion of promises in the Tenach and in the New Testament. It's the argument over the nature of that distortion and how to interpret scripture that separates me, and others, from Sizer and his ilk.

The day when Israel will be pre-eminent among the nations only comes with the (return of) the Messiah. This will not be brought about by precipitating Armageddon (more about that some other time). It's the rage against God that leads to a rage against real Christianity and against the Jew (again more later).

It's God's fault. He chose someone. It could have been a Briton. If it had we would be fighting the French and others for a piece of  the British Isles. It would have been the same story with British names. Josh Davidson would have been born in the North of England and executed in London. And so on.

The Messiah had to be somewhere. Which brings me at last to that saner form of madness which is the Goon Show and the famous Eccles

Eccles, when trapped in a coal cellar and questioned on what he was doing there, replies "Everybody's got to be somewhere".

And therein is the problem. The Jews, and others, are allowed to be somewhere, just as long as it is somewhere else.

And this is Apartheid?

One of Daphne's themes is refuting the Big Lie that Israel is an apartheid state. Here is another example from 'Israel Today' as well a link to one of Daphne's posts.
Arab Muslim is new head of Jerusalem's top emergency room

This gentlemen is an Arab.

He has just been appointed as head of  Jerusalem's top emergency room. There is a full interview at the Jerusalem Post as well as the article in Israel Today.

Daphne has posted on an Israeli Christian Arab who has just won their version of 'The Voice'. It's worth a listen!

Another marvellous poster-style image from the ElderOfZiyon .

I think they should be printed and posted all over the country, and especially in churches.

Escape to Oz and a signal honour.

As the marvellous Daphne Anson leaves Blighty for the sunnier climes of Oz , she has flattered me by cross-posting the first three posts in my occasional series on why I am a Christian Zionist. She has added honour to flattery by including The Almond Rod on her blogroll. The Almond Rod is but a little candle amongst some of the luminaries of the blogosphere on Daphne's blogroll, but it is very gratifying.

Thanks to the wonders of the internet, the miles will disappear when Daphne returns to blogging in a short while. We have never met personally, but as an efriend she has been a great support and encouragement to this blog and its author.

Thank you Daphne, and I hope that my future blogs will justify my inclusion on your blogroll. I look forward to more of your informative and inspirational blogging.

May the LORD keep you safe on your journey and give you peace in your new home.
